Project awarded in the Young Art Exhibition of La Rioja.
What I try to convey with “Left Alone” is that today, due to globalization, we have set aside our roots, our peoples and the nature that surrounds us. I intend to show that, even though there is depopulation, there is still life in those places. With this project, I want to give voice and face to all those people who live in the most uninhabited villages of La Rioja. These villages have been practically abandoned by current generations and many of them have no more than 20 inhabitants registered (sometimes even less) and have fallen into a spiral of decline that will very likely lead them to disappear. In this way, I try to leave a small graphic testimony of this reality so close to later generations.
